Discussion on the influence of Islamic institutions upon the economic growth (Russia, St.Petersburg)
The article analyzes ideas of various economists on the positive, neutral, and negative influence of Islamic institutions upon economic growth. The author concludes that the unique mechanism of combining non-formal and formal institutions in the Islamic society lowers the costs of supporting effective institutional economic milieu
