GLOBAL CRISIS AND TRANSITION TO THE NEW SOCIO-ECONOMIC MODEL OF DEVELOPMENT
Krotov M. I.
Secretary General of the Council of CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly,
PhD (Economics), Professor

Political economy of liberal conservatism as a methodological foundation of anti-crisis strategy
The author argues for the necessity to revive Russia’s national political economy of liberal conservatism, which would continue traditions laid by B. Chicherin, P. Struve, M. Tugan-Baranovsky, G. Plekhanov, N. Kondratjev, I. Prigozhin, and other outstanding Russian theoreticians of the anti-crisis direction. Contemporary political economy of liberal conservatism assumes the search for optimal combination of state and private market approaches to anti-crisis program – rather than vacillation between the poles of complete paternalism and absolute liberalism
Key words: political economy, liberal conservatism, moderately paternalistic conception, moderately liberal conception, anti-crisis program, economic theory, CIS
