Economics of sports: theoretical aspect and prospects of development
The article discusses basic theoretical propositions underlying the economics of sports, a relatively new direction in Russian economic science. The author focuses on specific features of sports as merchantable goods, major factors that determine the demand for such goods, and modern sports markets. Special attention is paid to the influence produced by technology upon the developing of sports, as well as perspectives for the development of sports economy
