Philosophy of history as a methodological foundation of historical-economic research (Russia, St.Petersburg)
The article focuses on the role of philosophy of history in research and teaching of historical-economic discipline. The author discusses development of the history of philosophy as a specific branch of philosophy, presents its major schools and its representatives. Although there are no uniform opinions in relation to the most topical problems in the history of philosophy, one still can single out major methodological principles that can be put at the foundation of historical-economic research
