The leader and the team as factors of success in a small-scale innovative company (Russia, Novosibirsk)
The article analyzes the role of the leader and the team in organization of small-scale innovative company on the basis of in-depth interview conducted with leaders/owners of 30 innovative companies in Novosibirsk. Informants’ responses confirm the significant role of the leader in the innovative business, yet the leader of a certain type, which is related to the specificity of innovations management determining a special nature of managerial activity and specific qualities of a manager
