| The authors discuss the tasks and the content of the new section of the Journal, entitled “Eurasian Economic Perspective: Problems and Solutions.”
The International Forum “Eurasian Economic Perspective” opened in St. Petersburg on April 11, 2013. The Forum was jointly initiated by the Parliament of Russia, Belarus’, and Kazakhstan, and supported by CIS parliamentarians. St. Petersburg State University of Economics, the head organization of higher educational institutions of economics, Eurasian Association of Universities, became the venue of the first joint sitting of the Forum. On June 12, 2013, the discussion on the topical problems of the Eurasian economic integration was continued within the frames of the Forum in the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus’.
President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin addressed Forum participants with a greeting, read by S.E. Naryshkin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Among the Forum participants were notable parliamentarians from the countries of the Customs Union, EES and CIS, rectors of the leading higher educational institutions, leaders of industrial unions, legal institutions and financial structures, famous scholars, politicians and public figures. | Pages: 7 - 8 |
