| The article focuses on the evaluation of patent institutes in the system of financial information institutions, discusses the history of the new concept “patent for financial services,” describes the major participants of the patent market in financial industry and their most probably strategic aims related to the protection of intellectual property. A more recent “intellectual” sub-class of financial patents has recently emerged.
