| The article discusses the cluster potential in the region with the use of structural shift methods and index of localization. Calculations show that Novosibirsk region of Russia possess a strong cluster potential in the sphere of trade, whereas the developing innovation cluster of information technologies is not yet producing any significant impact upon the regional economy.
