| The article presents results of research on the theoretical aspects of sustainable development of regional socio-economic systems, as well as conceptual and methodological approaches to regional sustainability. The concept of “sustainable development” has acquired the interdisciplinary character from the moment of its formation. The model of sustainable development does not imply an unchanging state of harmony, but rather a process of changes in its political, ecological, economic and social sub-systems resulting from various impacts on the part of the regulating sub-system and super-system; these two compensate turbulence caused by critical disproportions. The author stresses the importance to apply new approaches to the development of the managerial mechanism that helps minimize the risks and optimize the positive consequences of possible events emerging in the context of turbulence | Key words: region, sustainable development, turbulence in economy, strategic management, managerial mechanism | Pages: 189 - 192 |
