| The article discusses approaches to the state regulation of the sustainable development of agriculture in the foreign countries with the market economy; while these approaches differ, their common feature is the measures of direct or indirect support aiming at sustainable development of agriculture, in particular, maintenance of unified prices, regulation of food markets, subsidizing of export, food security.
