| The article focuses on the key trends of innovative development related to the launch, in 2014, of the National technological initiatives within the frames of the Program of innovative development of state corporations. This process became an effective tool for inter-branch cooperation as well as integration of scholarship, production and education supported by the state. Creation of the multi-functional system “Smart City” presents an ambitious large-scale task that will allow reaching a qualitatively new level of technological possibilities and competitiveness, while producing associated results in a number of related branches of economy. Integrational projects such as this one are crucial for the formation of Russia’s innovative economy, or the economy of knowledge.
