Dependency between inequality and economic growth: new approach and its empiric corroboration (Russia, Moscow)
Dependency of inequality and economic growth occupies a central place in contemporary macroeconomics. The importance of this issue is determined not only by the decreasing of economic activity in the present-day world, but also by the lack of understanding with regards to the factors of this process that lie beyond the vision scope of contemporary economic theory. The article presents results of the research, in which the author formulates and finds empiric evidence to the hypothesis of dependency between inequality and economic growth in the context of evaluation of the latter’s quality. Conclusions made in the course of the research stress the exceptional importance of such factor as higher, or excessive inequality, as well as of the disproportionate financial sector for the development of the state economic politics
Key words: inequality, economic growth, Gini coefficient, financialization
