| The article discusses specificities of the land fund in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) from the perspective of agriculture as the most progressive form of land use. The land fund of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is consistently compared with the land fund of the Russian Federation as a whole. The author explicates very low indices of agricultural development, extremely low amount of plowed land, absolute domination of natural pastures, and specific correlation between pastures and haymaking plots.
