| The article focuses on the nature and specificities of the October revolution of 1917, particularly its interpretation of popular (peasant) revolution of anti-capitalist character, which is proved by its economic results, i.e. creation of the Soviet way of production. This new type of production combined socialist features with market relations. As a primary (primitive) form of the socialist economic model it was characterized by the lack of balance and the possibility of return to capitalist relations. Failure of the socialist experiment does not exclude its revival in a new form | Key words: October revolution and its causes, character of the revolution, Soviet way of production, historical lessons, theory of double transition, possibilities and perspectives of post-capitalism | Pages: 10 - 16 |
