| After the crisis of 2015–16 Russian economy started a restorative growth. However, the tempos of this growth are not sufficient for the implementation of the country’s development aims. Intensification of measures to stimulate the economic growth becomes particularly important in this situation, and analysis of the previous anti-crisis regulation can help develop effective measures. After the collapse of the Soviet Union the country survive at least two serious crises — that of 1998 and of 2008–2009. The politics to overcome the crisis of 1998 proved to be particularly successful; therefore, this experience requires substantive reconsideration.
