| Based on the analysis of preliminary results received in the course of implementation of the national strategy “Digital Europe 2020,” the article distinguishes the major directions of the state politics that stimulate the introduction of digital technologies in the economic and social spheres of EU countries. The author summarizes positive and negative sides of “digitalization” in the contemporary society and compares the major tasks and aims of the state program “Digital Economics of the Russian Federation” with its most well-known foreign analogues such as “Industry 4.0” (Germany), “National Plan for Development of Information and Communication Technologies” (Singapore), “Internet Plus” (China), “Cybernetic Systems Development Program” (USA). The article presents the international evaluation of the digital components of the Russian economy and offers a list of prospective ways of technological development in the Russian Federation that facilitate the creation of flexible and sustainable national digital platform | Key words: digital economy, technological progress, high-tech production, competitiveness, information and communication technologies | Pages: 27 - 31 |
