| Economic globalization is accompanied by the strengthening of integrational processes, which expresses itself in capital consolidation, emergence of new companies and development of the market of merges and acquisitions (M&A). However, macroeconomic and political instability affects the M&A market both in the West and in Russia. Western sanctions against Russian companies and physical persons dictates specific conditions for the Russian M&A market. The author focuses on the problem of raiding as one specific risk faced by the companies.
