| The article focuses on the development of capitalism at the stage of its emergence as a system from the perspective of impact produced on this process by technological and economic evolution. Historical material under discussion can serve a tool for the study of contemporary geo-economic conflicts, producing political tensions around the world, since one can draw parallels between the struggle for new markets in the period of capitalist development and today.
