| The article discusses the major directions in creating new trade-and-technology systems based on a broad use of information technologies. The aim of the study is to form a model of commodity turnover on the basis of Distribution Digital Platform and the use of possibilities embedded in the Industry 4.0 concept. The underlying methodological assumption of the study consists in the idea that digitalization allows to form business eco-systems, capable of unifying resources in a broad sense of the word (knowledge, competencies, delivery operations, etc.). This platform will concern all subjects included in the system, both partners and competitors, and will allow them to conduct mutual activity with regards to various projects within the common distribution channel, based on openness and transparency. The authors offer a new definition of information technologies in trade, based on their innovative application; their innovative character forms new competitive advantages based on the time factor. The article develops a model of commodity turnover chains within the Distribution Digital Platform, which allows for the effective interaction among the Platform participants.
