| The article focuses on food intake and preferences among the students of St. Petersburg State University of Economics and distinguishes a dependency between their food-related behavior and the knowledge of healthy eating principles. Data received in the course of research show that that consumption of sufficient amount of healthy products depends on students knowledge of them. The article provides recommendations of how to increase the economic affordability of food and to stimulate demand; in particular, the authors emphasize the necessity of enriching bread and milk with micronutrients, which measure should be adopted on the legal level | Key words: students’ healthy eating, eating behavior, proportion of expenses for food in various countries, enriching of products with micronutrients | Pages: 184 - 185 |
