Evaluation of the degree of adaptiveness of organizational and economic mechanisms of sports-and-recreation complexes of the Russian Federation to the global standards (Russia, St. Petersburg)
The article formulates and describes scenarios that create a theoretical foundation for treating the existing types of infrastructure as those related to sports, and as such — as instruments of the economic development of cities and regions. The impact of sports infrastructure upon production, creation of job places and localization of enterprises was tested with the use of econometric models; the aim of this research was to show that coefficients associated with variables, indicating the presence of sports infrastructure, are statistically significant and play their expected role in a specific regression model. Such calculations, based on temporal series, allow testing long-term contribution that the objects of tourist infrastructure make into the economy of cities and regions.
Key words: sports-and-recreation complexes as parts of infrastructure, econometric models, sports infrastructure, regional economy, statistical methods
