The author presents a pioneering attempt to analyze perspectives of a number of economists in their relation to ethics as a discipline about human beings. Special attention is given to the transformation of the disciplinarian ontology and the model of a human being in the economic theory. The article describes tendencies with regards to changes of methodological preconditions of economic theory and the Robbins paradox, distinguished by the author, in the development of the subject of economic science.
