| The article focuses on specificities in water supply and disposal management in contemporary enterprises of water-and-canalization industry and discusses perspectives and tendencies in the development of water management in St. Petersburg in the long run. The authors present the classical scheme of biological purification and its alternative versions used in Germany and conduct their comparative analysis both from the technological and economic points of view. With regard to water supply management, the article presents dynamics of target indices and changes of the relative water consumption over a number of years. The research is based on the data related to the State Unitary Enterprise “Vodokanal of St. Petersburg” in the sphere of water supply management, analyzes the factual and the potential load upon water treatment facilities, and describe classical methods of biological purification. | Key words: land-use management, balance of water disposal, biological purification, water use, efficacy of treatment | Pages: 187 - 191 |
