Global competitiveness of territories in post-Covid era (case of the tourist industry in St. Petersburg) (Russia, St. Petersburg)
The article analyzes the impact of COVID-19 pandemic upon the tourist competitiveness of St. Petersburg. In order to preserve sustainable tourist attractiveness when the pandemic is over, the city should conduct a thorough analysis of factors that make people chose St. Petersburg over other competing tourist centers. The authors use a modified apparatus of the SWOT analysis with the use of matrix assessment methodology. The latter is developed on the basis of modified methodology of analytic hierarchy process and calculation of coefficients of the ultimate substitution of criteria of tourist attractiveness and territorial competitiveness after the pandemic.
