| The article focuses on the major trends in the formation of the economy of innovation changes, including technological, organizational, institutional and social ones. The authors discuss the question of how radical should be the transition to the innovative development and analyze the experience of various countries and regions where this transition was effective (e.g. Eastern Germany).
