Islamic financial sector in Sudan before and after the separation of the South (Russia, Moscow)
The article describes the chronology in formation of the Islamic financial sector in Sudan, the only country in the world where financial sector if reformed in accordance with the laws of sharia. The author analyses the motivation of the country’s leadership towards such reforms and discusses the consequences related to the separation of the South for the banking system of the country
