|The article discusses models and tendencies existing in state- and business partnership in relation to social protection and population support. The authors argue that the social politics the European countries and the USA exhibit elements of convergence, whereby the former started to foreground business structures, and the latter, to introduce state social programs. In the present-day Russia one may observe a transition from the constitutional principle of the “social state” to the subsidy-based model of social politics, which signals the tendency of distancing from Europa and reproaching the countries of Latin America|
