Retirement age in Russia: present-day situation and future tendencies
(Russia, Ulan-Ude)
The article analyzes retirement support and life expectancy (including active labor involvement after retirement) in Russia and in a number of developed countries. The fact that Russia is lagging behind according to the major demographic parameters, as well as significant gender differences should be taken into consideration in the retirement politics. The author argues that there are no demographic preconditions to raise the retirement age for men in the Russian Federation
