| Russia has to considerably change the model of its economic development on the systematic foundation under the impact of internal and external factors, situational fluctuations and the long-term trend. Contradictory process of globalization in the global economy is accompanied by the new challenge of national security. Countries that dominate the international economy and profess principles of free market relations impose sanctions of political interference into the economic process, that directly contradict these principles as such. Economic development based investment as the innovative advancement of the capital is the basis for the growth of the national security. The article justifies the importance of a considerable change in the model of economic development in order to turn Russian resource advantages into competitive advantages.
