Restructurization of firms as a key link in the transition to the social innovative economy (Russia, St. Petersburg)

Transition from rent-and-debt oriented economy to socio-innovative economy changed firms’ economic environment, as well as their nature itself. Autonomous branch structures in the past, nowadays they turn into links within the global distribution chains and creation of value, regional clusters and strategic alliances. This process radically alters specialization and structure of firms, the concepts of the theory of firms, introduces the notion of systemic restructurization, etc. Based on the international experience, the article distinguishes problems and ways of effective restructurization of Russian firms, including industrial companies and banks
