| The article discusses the one-sided nature of formal “arithmetic” approach to the understanding of economic science. The author stresses that the latter consists at least of two fundamental theories, each containing its own logic; the “classical” politico-economic approach better suits the national economic system as compared to the mainstream approach. Overcoming of the “arithmetic” limitations of the mainstream approach is possible through recourse to the traditions of Russian economic thought | Key words: formal logical approach in science, fundamental economic theory, unifying conception, traditions of Russian economic thought | Pages: 54 - 57 |
