Supply and demand on the market of cultural goods (the case of public libraries) (Russia, St. Petersburg)
The article analyzes the major trends in the structure of supply and demand on the market of cultural goods, particularly those rendered by public libraries in the period between 1990 and 2014. The author offers a comparative analysis of social efficacy indices for rural and urban public libraries and describes the effect from new informational technologies and their impact upon the readers’ reading demand
