State regulation of hotel business in India (Russia, St. Petersburg)

The author analyzes requirements placed upon Indian hotel enterprises by the Ministry of Tourism of India. The article is based on the data from the System of India’s Hotel Classification (2011), within the frames of the program “India Friendly,” aiming at comparing hotel business in Russia and India and to formulate possible expectations of Indian tourists visiting Russia
