| The article analyzes the impact of TNCs upon the economic growth on the national level and brings proof on the increase of this impact in the contemporary global world. The author distinguishes possible threats to national economic systems related to activities of TNCs, down to the possible loss of economic sovereignty. In the context of growing contradictions among various globalization subjects, the existence of these threats stimulates interest in economic security.
