| The article discusses the major directions in the development of the international helium industry. The launch of The Eastern Gas Program requires formation of the unified centralized repository of helium not required on the market, as well as a balanced system along the chain of “extraction of helium concentrate — preservation — purification — transportation — sale.” The article focuses on the solution of the question “On helium” at the level of legislature, discusses the experience of helium industry in the USA from the point of its applicability in the Russian context.
