| The author poses a question, how to define expenditures for economic security as an item of accounting and management. Based on the definition of activity aiming at attaining the economic security of a firm, the author discusses principles of evaluation of security expenditures with regards to their specificities, and argues that economic security costs should be seen as a part of capital costs. While there are bookkeeping accounts that can incorporate capital costs and allocations for depreciation, one can also associate such accounts with security costs measurable in monetary units. The level of costs should be defined individually for each economic subject | Key words: economic security of economic subjects, costs for economic security, ways of costs evaluation | Pages: 120 - 124 |
