| | | The article focuses on economic development of transborder regions of Siberia and the Far East in the context of Eurasian integration, analyzes the efficacy of their socio-economic development, and distinguishes their major economic problems. The author emphasizes serious ecological effects of economic development in transborder East Asian countries for Russian transborder regions, discusses the social aspect of sustainable development and concludes that the transborder regions under discussion have considerably lower economic, ecologic and social ratings in comparison to average Russian indices.
