Development of digital technologies in the banking system of the countries of Northern Europe (Russia, St. Petersburg)

The article presents a review of the banking sector in the countries of Northern Europe, defines the level of digitalization in the financial sphere and the major driving forces of the digitalization process. Nordea bank is discussed as an example to show the major tendencies in the digital transformation of banks in Northern Europe. These tendencies, if adapted in the Russian banking sphere, can lead to higher competitiveness and entrepreneurial efficacy
