| The article focuses on the importance of the approved state Transportation Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030, aiming at establishing sustainable and effective interregional and international production-and-trade ties through the implementation of progressive transportation and logistics systems of cargo shipment along the transportation corridors, including the international ones such as “Europe — Western China,” “North — South,” “West — East.” The authors offer a “zone model” for the formation of spatial economic zone of transportation and logistic corridors 400–600 km wide, with production-and-trade zones of the Russian Federation subjects inside.
