|The article focuses on the dependency between the ecology in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and its socio-economic development. The authors describe various approaches to the role of voluntary ecological auditing in the formation of the equilibrium system “ecology-social knowledge” in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The article emphasizes that the quality of life of the indigenous people of the North includes not only financial and material support, but also preservation of the traditional way of life and cleanliness of ancestral territories. Transnational corporation engaged in industrial extracting and processing of mineral resources should introduce the system of voluntary ecological auditing that can reveal the most problematic aspects of their activities. The authors suggest a range of measures that could be successfully implemented in ecological auditing through development of new financial services within the frames of the digital economy.|
