| Russia’s supreme leadership pays a lot of attention to Arctic development; on February 26, 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a degree on the transference of functions for Arctic development to the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, subsequently developed into the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic. Electric power engineering is the “suit” of the economy, and the size of this “suit” should be proportionate to the size of economy, otherwise it can become an inhibiting factor of development.
