| The article presents a review of contemporary Indian academic thinking with regards to political economy: the book Rajimwale Anil, “STR Capitalism and Postcapitalism: The Great Transition,” the collection edited by I. Ness and D. Azzelini that focus on the workers’ struggle for self-rule from the beginning of the XX c. till 2010s, and the article by the Indian author Arup Kumar Sen “Workers’ Control in India’s Communist-Ruled State: Labor Struggles and Trade Unions in West Bengal.” The author emphasizes an interesting phenomenon: Soviet scholarly literature preserves its importance in India until nowadays.
