| The article analyzes the role of the circular economy in solution of the global problems and achieving the aims of sustainable development. Special attention is given to the cutting-edge experience related to formation of the circular economy, particularly, from the perspectives of EU legal initiatives and their role in the planned decrease of environmental impact. The author assesses measures undertaken by the government of the Russian Federation aimed at achieving balance of ecologic and economic development over the period between 2015 and 2020, which resulted in developing a road map of transformation of Russia’s linear economy into a circular form. | Key words: circular economy, global problems, greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable development, road map | Pages: 167 - 171 |
