| Russian economy presenting a multi-ordered structure, formation of the effective and competitive agrarian sector is impossible without the development of small-scale economic forms, where peasant (farmer) households play a crucial role. However, this economic branch is experiencing difficulties, featuring multiple problems that may not be solved without state involvement. The article discusses methods of state support to peasant (farmer) households, as well as the Russian and international experience in their regulation.
