| The article discusses process of transformation of economic relations into the digital space, focuses on the notion of digital economics and digital transformation. The authors emphasize the importance of large-scale digital transformation of the Russian economy, which should take place both on a global scale as well as on the level of particular enterprises that should conduct digital transformation of their business models and implement innovative technologies in their internal technological processes for maintain competitive advantages and leadership on particular economic markets. Digital transformation occurs at a higher speed in the sphere of services. Taking the example of a telecommunication enterprise, the article demonstrates advantages of digital transformation such as offering personalized services, access to new markets, optimization of business processes — as well as risks related to the digital transformation. To minimize these risks, it is necessary to involve factors that facilitate the optimal organization of the digital transformation process at enterprises.
