| The article focuses on evaluation of digitalization in the major economic branches and the innovative development in Russia and EEU. In particular, the article discusses the following issues: the level of digital economic development and perspectives of digitalization in Russia’s basic branches of economy; the speed of Russia’s digitalization processes; indices of measurement of the digital economy for the purposes of assessing the current development of informational and communication technologies. Companies and organizations are motivated to introduce digital technologies against the growing competitiveness on the information markets and the possibilities of “catching up” development of this sector in Russia. The authors show the lack of coordinated activity of the organs of state management, industries, business and scholarship, which constitutes the major obstacle for the development of Russia’s digital economy. | Key words: digital economy, digitalization, digital economy indices, information and communication technologies, digital innovations | Pages: 45 - 50 |
