| The article is dedicated to the project of the interregional railway Belkomur (White (Beloe) sea — Komi — Urals), which has explicit and confirmed significant socio-economic effects. This significance has particularly grown in the recent years in connection with the adoption of the foundational decision with regards tot eh strategic planning and development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation till the year of 2035. The author shows that the long-term effect of the Belkomur project realization is related to the organic merge of the new railway into the system of transportation communications of the Russian Federation and the access to the global markets. The article argues that in view of the perspectives in the development of the major relevant global markets, Belkomur project should be viewed a system-forming prospective project of Russia’s regional development. | Key words: interregional cooperation, interregional project, interregional integration, global markets, Belkomur raiway project | Pages: 122 - 126 |
