| The article discusses the reasons for collapse of the USSR, analyzed by M.I. Krotov in his article “Collapse of the Soviet Union and Belovezh Accords in the historical memory” [1], as well as in the discussion around this topic conducted in the Journal “Problems of Modern Economics,” ¹1 (2022). The author analyzes the role certain aspects of M.S.
