| The author discusses some specificities in the organization of import substitution processes with the use of innovative component as the propelling force of import substitution tools. Support of Russian production is important from the point of view of both consumers and the state, whereas implementation of innovation mechanisms allows to strengthen Russia’s economic sovereignty.
