| The article analyzes existing problems and barriers that women-entrepreneurs face on the way of creating and developing business in the Russian Federation. Recognizing the input of women-entrepreneurs into business development, organs of state power conduct an active policy in this direction. However, is this policy effective from the perspective of women-entrepreneurs themselves? Presently female entrepreneurship has a high significance for economy in any country, including Russia, being one of the resources for the development of small- and medium-scale business.
